One Seed Grows A Flower…

One Seed Grows A Flower

“All the flowers of all the tomorrows are in the seeds of today.”

– North American Proverb

But not all seeds will germinate.

Flowers serve as beautiful reminders of a seed's potential when nurtured in the right environment.

Exceptionally fragrant and bursting with colour, each one takes center stage, some even possessing medicinal properties.

As soon as its destined role is fulfilled, it withers into the background, returning to the earth.

Regardless of others' appreciation or lifespan, the flower has played an essential part in beautifying the earth.

Our good ideas for all-around attainment are seeds that need suitable growth environments.

As plants need sunshine, healthy soil, and water to survive, we need strong, loving minds and hearts to discern which ideas are wise to plant and which ones need uprooting before we reap a bitter harvest.

Bitterness comes from fostering an idea that doesn't belong to us, following the crowd or giving in to worldly ideals.

Yet, even these are natural initiations into the human experience. Many of us will grow something that wasn't ours to grow and experience unsatisfactory results.

It's important to remember that defeat is not a sign of weakness but a necessary part of our growth journey.

Does it matter how many times we start over? No, only that we do.

However, a little introspection, a moment of self-reflection, would enable us to begin with more clarity the next time we’re faced with a similar idea. In these moments of introspection, we truly take control of our growth.

As sages advise, one doesn't need to experience the entire gamut of human experience to gain wisdom. We can learn some of life's lessons by observing others' mistakes. And others can learn from us.

This exchange of knowledge and experience is what enriches our understanding and broadens our perspectives.

Some ideas will flourish when the timing is just right, others will fail for our greater good, and some will be carried by the wind to places they are needed without our consent.

“Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seed you plant.”

―Robert Louis Stevenson
